DON'T BE LURED IN BY AGENTS WHO STAGE WITH 2 DAY TRAINING COURSE
It is important to rememer there is no such thing as an "accredited" stager. There is no governing body which checks credentials or any other standards of the industry but there are certain training programs which give a cerificate claiming such accreditation after attending a two day course. The only way to substantiate the talent of a stager you are considering working with is to review their design talent by way of before and afters and prior client testimonials. Gifted designers have an inherent knack for decorating and no two day or two week class can equip a person with the qualities necessary to achieve a top noche end result. Simply put, you either got it or you don't when it comes to artistic talent. The following article demonstrates a real estate company's drive-through approach to incorporating stagers into it's everyday business. While the service they provide may be better than no advice at all , I hope sellers who list with this company will understand they are not receiving the true benefits of staging.

FRANKLIN — Embracing the industry's newest advantage in home marketing, Prudential New Jersey Properties has initiated a new home staging program that enables sales associates to recognize the benefits of home staging and offer techniques and advice to their clients at no additional charge.
By using simple, yet often overlooked home enhancing techniques — such as removing clutter and changing furniture and room tones — home staging can change the entire feel and look of a home to appeal to a broader group of potential buyers.
"This unique program will give our associates additional skills in advising their clients how to most effectively market their homes," says Bruce Graham, director of career development for Prudential New Jersey Properties. "A home stager's advice can play up all the great features of a home, while attracting a broader range of buyers. These buyers are able to recognize a home's potential and better envision themselves at home in the space without being distracted by the home seller's individual style. We are confident this program will allow our sales associates to offer valuable advice that can result in a faster, more profitable transaction for the seller."
The two-day Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) real estate associate program by Stagedhomes.com will teach Prudential New Jersey Properties sales associates staging techniques, as well as new marketing concepts to increase buyer and agent activity. In today's changing real estate market where homes are taking longer to sell, staging gives sellers a distinct advantage over their competition.
Based in the Somerset section of Franklin, Prudential New Jersey Properties offers resale, new homes, fine homes, resort properties and relocation, mortgage, title and insurance services.
